Gosh, I wish I’d noticed this when I could have put in an entry. One of the things that struck me as most odd about Japan shortly after I got there and which I never got used to was paying the electric bill. If I wasn’t gonna have it withdrawn automatically from my bank account, I had to pay it at a convenience store. o_O
