Here are a few pictures I’ve taken walking around my city and whatnot. Loads of interesting stuff to photograph in Japan, and only my lack of ability to hold me back (no more compact camera restrictions!) I’d love your comments on what works, what doesn’t and why so I can keep bringing you better pictures!
Unless otherwise noted, all images are taken with the Olympus PEN E-P1 and the 20mm f/1.7 Panasonic lens. They are out-of-camera Jpegs and unedited except for resizing and watermarking. As I work during the day, most are images taken in low-light. I will get some daytime shots up in due time to showcase this fantastic lens!

The cat picture is really good, great composition, especially with the fleeting light and animal behaviour and all.
I *really* like the salt sign one though. One of the best pictures I think you’ve taken. The comosition is good, the lighting is perfect and it hits the right places, expecially lighting up the 塩 sign. The colours have come out great, especially on the sign, there’s blue tones everywhere, the DOF is just right and the subject matter is nice and rustic to boot. Well done!
The Tsukamu one is also pretty good, especially since it’s such a high ISO.
And i’m dying to know who that handsome fellow beside you in the ‘chums’ picture is? Why, what a dashing young man that must be!
