Gakuranman Giveaway!
Alrighty loyal readers and Gakuranman followers! (You ARE all loyal, right??) I figured it was about time for a little contest of sorts, in celebration of my arriving in Japan and all. There are free prizes (plural!) and it’s incredibly easy to enter, so there’s no reason not to give it a try ^^.

The task
Dead simple. All you have to do is write a jingle, tagline, or slogan describing my blog, gakuranman.com. Leave your entry as a comment in reply to this post!
Something like this:
Gakuranman.com – something fishy afoot from schoolboy coat man.
I know you can do much better though! The wittier and more bioluminescent the merrier! You should know that I’m a fan of wordplay, puns and amusing youtube videos singing songs about the Gakuranman.
The prizes
Of which there are two! The first is supplied by those awesome folks at edufire.com. The second is supplied by me, from right here in Japan!
1) Edufire Superpass – You’ve heard of edufire, right? No?? It’s only the biggest education revolution this side of Copernicus!
Well, you can be a part of it! I have something edufire likes to call a ‘Superpass‘ to give away, although personally I’d have called it the ‘Viking Pass’, because it’s just like one of those all you can eat buffets in Japan – only it’s for the mind!
Basically, you can attend as many classes as you like online, live, and on just about any subject imaginable! Japanese lessons? You got it. Organic food recipes? Check. How about help with your Math GMAT exams? Got you covered. You have the freedom to choose between world class teachers and attend their lessons right from your own home, just to listen or interactively learn with powerpoint, music and videos! I bet old Copernicus wished he had live webcams and mics to communicate his heliocentric model of the universe, eh?
Usually edufire charges $29 a month for this Superpass feast of the mind (which is still less than $1 a day!), but they’re giving it away free to one lucky reader here! All you have to do is enter the contest by writing a jingle, tagline or slogan for my blog, gakuranman.com.
2) A bundle of sweets from right here in Japan! What more can I say? I took a trip to my local convenience store and bought some of the strangest and most interesting-looking sweets that I could find. One lucky reader will snag the lot!
The bundle even includes the new must-have snack going through the trends in Japan right now – Chip Chop – salty chocolate flakes (not balls)! Check below for the CM:
The draw
Since there are two prizes, you’ve got two chances to win. Potentially both of them!
The Edufire Superpass will be given to the entry which impresses me the most. Make me laugh, write a witty slogan or create some musical work of art in homage to the Gakuranman. Entries are pretty flexible so long as they aim to describe my blog, so just go nuts and have fun! ^^
The bag of sweetie goodness will go to the entry that I pick out of a hat. I’ll film it and stick the video on Youtube so that you can see that I’m not being a scallywag cheat!
The deadline
Almost forgot about this! The deadline is Friday 25th September before midnight Japan time. When I wake up on Saturday morning in Japan, the entries are closed!
**********
So there you have it! You have a chance of winning just for writing something describing my blog! No excuse not to give it a go – even for those of you already in Japan! ^_^ Oh, and if you want extra brownie points, you can follow me on twitter and subscribe to me on Youtube :p
