Hello,

This was a very interesting account of a journey through the forest. I have never been myself (someday…), but this was the next best thing! Great pictures too, I am jealous of your adventure!

Sounds good! When I go back in the future, I’ll make sure to have a DSLR ^^. I think I was really pushing my little Ricoh GX100! Don’t forget to consider diving there! Really cheap and well worth it!

I’m no longer in Kumamoto, but I imagine I’ll be back there are some point to visit my host family there!

Mike you have some really inspiring photos there! I am making a trip there myself at the end of March and am planning on spending a week trekking through the woods with my Canon dSLR. I am trying desperately to get a new 50D by then, but will also have my waterproof camera along just in case.

Are you still in Kumamoto or have you moved on already? I was just there on Monday and live about an hour or so up north in Yanagawa.
